ROOTED BODY
1:1 SESSION

Some of you know that I've been working towards this goal since the onset of the Pandemic and as I've learned over the years, the body and it's wisdom has it's own timing. 
For me, the space between the Solstice and the gregorian new years are all about reflecting.  For the past 7+ years I have had a ritual of collaging my subconsous into form.  I spent the first few years doing this in a solo, sort of meditation.  And over the past 4 years I have opened this space and done it in community both in person and virtually.

Why do I need my jaw released? A lot of tension is held in our jaw muscles from wearing masks, looking at computer screens, chewing, injury or trauma to the area, not being able to speak something we want to, anxiety and grinding/clenching teeth.

*If you haven’t been able to come in because you moved out of the area, this is a way for us to continue out work together at a distance.

What to expect during a session...
When you sign up for your appointment you will have an opportunity to share what you'd like to focus on and if there are specific ways you are wanting to be supported by me.  You don't have to have it all figured out ahead of time and if there are specific things for me to know, this is helpful for me to prepare. 
We will begin each session with a check in, followed by breath exercises that focus on relaxing the surface muscles of your face, then we will move into more direct self massage to the jaw and neck muscles.  We will close with a brief check out.

How to prepare?
Plan for variablility as we may work in If possible, plan to be somewhere you have quiet, privacy and a few different body position options. Gather a variety of support tools for your session, ex. pillows, a chair, yoga blocks, blankets, towels and props like tennis/racket balls, yoga straps.  You do not need all of these, just a variety to work with.  I will encourage you to take care of your needs as best as possible, so
