JOIN THE MOVEMENT!
He | Him | His
Richard discovered his new path of life at 25, when Dance appeared as his new passion and way of expression. This is why he rather prefers to call himself a mover than a dancer. Richard is a deaf latin Certified DanceAbility Instructor and is currently the executive director of a non-profit organization “Proyecto Paz Danza Inclusiva A.C.”, a mixed-ability mexican dance project with a mission to sensitize about diversity and inclusion through artistic and social activities through inclusive dance.
Niksen "Nik" Kurtz
They | Them | Theirs
Nik is a partner, sibling, friend, activist and practitioner for wellness on individual, interpersonal and systemic levels. They are white, queer, able bodied, chemical and scent sensitive (MCS), a gender expansive being (trans), a learner of new things and an artist who enjoys connecting deeply. They are an introvert with extrovert tendencies, a connector, a heart relater, an explorer and a curious being. The love of their life, is their 11 y/o cat Luna!
Nik enjoys their personal practice of dance and leading dancers as a way to create external expressions of inner experiences. They experiences dance as a web of movement, stillness, sensing and building capacity for emotions, vulnerability and surrendering. They have lead movement classes in the greater Bay Area since 2012 and are currently a Soul Motion® certified teacher, Esalen® Massage Practitioner (CMT) and newly certified in the DanceAbility® Method.
